About me

Hi! I’m Louise and I’m a family photographer living in Balham – in what I’m pleased to say is becoming a bit of a foodie-hub! Most of my work is in south and west London. I live in a cosy home (that I’m constantly re-decorating!) with my drawing-obsessed seven year old and our 2 little fish – who somehow put up with us when we’re dancing in the kitchen.

Photography has always been a huge part of my life. I know my craft inside out: I have an MA in photography, and before I became a photographer myself, I managed a photography gallery.

My favourite things in the world are travelling and eating out. When I’m not shooting, you’ll find me out for a walk, lying in my beloved hammock in the garden or curled up on the sofa – looking through the Sunday Times for the best bits: the magazine, Home and Travel. All the rest goes straight in the recycling, I’m ashamed to admit!

I spend a lot of time with my daughter, and nothing makes me happier than having a picnic with her on a lovely sunny day. My little girl loves setting the table for a party so we seem to be constantly inviting people over! Our favourite way to spend an afternoon is colouring in, or an epic crafting session.

My love of people watching is what got me into family photography. I’ve been a full-time family photographer for 8 years and I absolutely love it. My photography style is natural and relaxed. I absolutely love capturing special and fleeting moments for families. It’s such a privilege to be invited into people’s homes to capture intimate moments of family life and capture beautiful memories.

I’m proud to have supported Street Child by donating my photography – such a great charity, creating educational opportunities for some of the world’s poorest children. I’ve also had the immense privilege of running photography workshops for patients at Trinity Hospice and for Homerton Hospital as well as Dulwich Picture Gallery’s programme for older people. Their art programmes are inspirational and really lifts the spirits of the participants.
