Family photography doesn’t stop at your immediate family. When siblings are in town, grandparents are visiting or the whole family is meeting to celebrate a major milestone – these occasions warrant professional photography!
It’s a great opportunity to capture memories of the family spending time together – if lockdown showed us anything, it’s that the gaps can be too long between family being able to get together. Let’s celebrate family time with beautiful photographs that you can treasure for years to come.
If it’s a special occasion, I have gift vouchers so you can give your family member something nice to open, and then arrange the session together.
“We had such a lovely morning with Louise. It was a relaxed and happy photo shoot, and we’re absolutely delighted with the results. The photos are really stunning. We’d highly recommend Louise.” Jessica
Grown-up Get-togethers
Many family photographers focus just on young children and their parents, but I’m a firm believer in celebrating family at all stages and ages. I’m often asked to photograph grown-up get-togethers – I love photographing the bond between siblings, and that doesn’t stop in adulthood!
If your siblings will be in town and you’d like professional photographs to capture some memories, do reach out to arrange a family photo session.
Multi-generation Sessions
Multi-generation sessions are a great way to celebrate major milestones – 70th and 80th birthdays are a popular time, or major wedding anniversaries. What better way to celebrate than to gather your loved ones, and to take some really special photographs to capture your children, and their children?
Many families also invite grandparents to join for part of a family portrait session, so they can have some nice photos with all the generations, and then we move on to a more traditional photo session focused on just parents and children.
We can discuss what you have in mind and make a plan that will work for you!
Gift For Grandparents
If you’re looking into an extended family shoot as a gift for your parents, a popular option is to buy a gift voucher. That way, your parents can join the photo session too – and be in the photographs too!
Grandparents With Newborns
Grandparents can be an absolute lifeline when it comes to those early weeks with a newborn. It certainly does take a village to raise a child!
If your parents are staying when you have your newborn session, why not invite them to be in some of the photographs? It’s a lovely opportunity to capture their role as grandparents, and to celebrate the love and support they provide.
