Family photographer Barnes: at home and outdoors

My family portrait sessions typically start at home, as I find this works best for little ones. Meeting someone new where they feel most comfortable makes such a difference – I like to set a very calm and relaxed tone for the session. I follow your child’s lead, playing with whichever toys or activities take their fancy that day.

Outdoor locations for your Barnes family photoshoot

There are so many pretty outdoor spots in Barnes that work brilliantly for family portraits. I love Barnes pond for feeding the ducks, and the open spaces behind it for more greenery. Barnes Common works really well, as does the Wetland Centre. Walking down to the river is also a great option, the views are so striking and make a great backdrop for family photographs. Wherever you spend time as a family is great – this makes for really meaningful shots that will bring memories flooding back for you.
