Family photographer Brixton: at home and outdoors

family photography Earlsfield - Little girl finishes writing on the board and smiles

I love photographing families in Brixton – I have a strong connection to the area, having worked here for years. When I was managing a photography gallery, it moved to Brixton Village. I also had desk space in Brixton for a year or so, and really loved being in the thick of things.

My family portrait sessions typically start at home, as I find this works best for little ones. Meeting someone new where they feel most comfortable makes such a difference – I like to set a very calm and relaxed tone for the session. I follow your child’s lead, playing with whichever toys or activities take their fancy that day.

“As always, we are thrilled with the photographs. I wouldn’t use anyone else for family photographs. A fabulous family photographer – highly recommended”.  Helen

Outdoor locations for Brixton family photography

Brockwell Park is a great option for outdoor photographs – the open meadow areas are so pretty, and of course the playground is always a bit.

Clapham Common also works well, with the bandstand and the fishing lake. The open grassland areas are pretty too, and the fallen logs are great climbing challenges for children – and fun photo opportunities!

Wherever you spend time as a family is great – this makes for really meaningful shots that will bring memories flooding back for you.

“We were delighted. The entire experience was very relaxed and resulted in some great natural shots – exactly what we wanted. Our toddler can be strong willed at times, but Louise was excellent at engaging her and capturing that engagement.” Chris
