Family photographer Kennington: at home and outdoors

Having lived in Kennington myself, when I was a student at Camberwell College of Arts, it’s always a delight to return to the area and photograph the new generation here!

My family portrait sessions typically start at home, as I find this works best for little ones. Meeting someone new where they feel most comfortable makes such a difference – I like to set a very calm and relaxed tone for the session. I follow your child’s lead, playing with whichever toys or activities take their fancy that day.

There are so many pretty outdoor spots in Kennington (and nearby) that work brilliantly for family portraits. I love the Old English Garden in Kennington park. For something different, Vauxhall City Farm is a fun option for kids of walking age. The formal gardens in Vauxhall Park also make a great location. We can head to your local park, or further afield to the riverside. Wherever you spend time as a family is great – this makes for really meaningful shots that will bring memories flooding back for you.
