Family photographer West London
As a full-time family photographer, I’m often photographing families in West London. My portrait sessions usually start at home, but as the parks here are so beautiful I’ve put the outdoor photographs first on this page!
If you’re interested in having your own family photo session, do get in touch – I’d love to hear from you.
OUTDOOR WEST LONDON FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
Holland Park
There are beautiful parks to choose from in West London, but I do particularly like Holland Park. Even on the busiest day, it’s easy to find quiet spots for family photographs. The wooded areas are lots of fun for little kids, and the more formal planted areas make a vibrant backdrop.
“Thank you so much for the photos, they are gorgeous! You are amazing – I don’t know how you did it! I’m delighted.” Isabella
Chiswick House and Gardens
Chiswick Gardens is another favourite location, with its grand architecture and wild spaces:
Kensington Gardens
Kensington Gardens is also a magical spot for family photography. The open grass areas are fun for children to run around in, and the shaded areas are great for family group shots. The more formally planted flowers also make for a great distraction, and a pop of colour.
Hyde Park
A little further away, children’s portrait sessions in Hyde Park also work brilliantly. The ancient trees are so picturesque, and the planting is beautiful. Even on very busy days, it’s always possible to find some quiet spots for family photography.
AT HOME – FAMILY PHOTO SESSIONS IN WEST LONDON
I love to meet families first at home, so I can photograph children in their own environment. It’s a great way to really capture their personalities, playing where they feel most comfortable and happy.
Here are some photographs from a family at home in Notting Hill, before we went out to take photographs in Kensington Gardens:
