Family photographer Wimbledon

Having grown up in Putney, I spent much of my youth in nearby Wimbledon – it’s always a pleasure to come back! I bring my own daughter here often now too – we love exploring Wimbledon common with our pup. Southwest London has such a special place in my heart. It’s a total delight photographing the next generation growing up here!

First, family photographs at home in Wimbledon

In my experience, it’s best to start your family photo session at home. This is where you’ll all feel most comfortable and relaxed, especially important with little ones. Incorporating your home into the photographs will also remind you of family life in years to come. It also gives us lots of flexibility with the weather.

We’ll usually spend an hour or so at home, I’ll quietly photograph you as the morning unfolds. My sessions are always child led, so whatever game they want to play that day works for me!

After an hour or so, we’ll head outdoors to your favourite park.

Outdoor locations for Wimbledon family photography

I always suggest spending time outdoors too on a family session. We can go out to your garden, or to one of the wonderful parks in the area.

In Wimbledon common, the dens never fails to delight, and the pond is so pretty – and makes a great spot for family portraits too.

Wimbledon park is also a favourite – the boating lake and the playground are a fab combination for little ones, and always makes for great photographs.

The grounds of Cannizaro park are also stunning, it’s always lots of fun photographing children exploring there.
