Headshots On The Beach

A beach shoot

Although I’m based in London, I do sometimes venture further afield for shoots. I have a soft spot for beach shoots, I have to admit!

Beaches tend to be much quieter midweek. I like to start sessions around 10am so the light’s had a chance to come up, the early morning joggers have left and the dog walks are thinning out.

Behind the Lens: Photographing a Photographer

Photographing another photographer is a unique and challenging experience. It’s a delicate dance of understanding, trust, and creative collaboration. A lot of photographers prefer being behind the camera to being in front of it – myself included!

The Photographer’s Perspective

As a photographer, you’re used to being the director, the stylist, the visionary. It can be daunting to step out from behind the lens and into the spotlight. There’s a vulnerability that comes with it, even though you know better than anyone that it’s all part of the process. We’ll prep together beforehand so I’m totally clear on your vision for the photos, and of course I’ll sprinkle my own creativity on the shoot too!

The Final Product

Ultimately, the goal is to create images that capture a photographer’s essence, their passion and personal brand story.

I’d love to collaborate with you, if you’re thinking of having your own personal brand shoot?

Being a photographer myself, I’m not exactly used to having the lens pointed at me. It gave me quite an insight into how clients can feel initially. Anyways, with Louise all the anxiety soon disappeared and we ended up having such a giggle. It was like going for a stroll with an old friend in a beautiful place.

I love the photos. They will serve me well for my online presence – my personal appearance has been missing from it so long. It’s wonderful to finally have some images to introduce myself as my brand.”
