There’s so much poetry and symbolism in christenings. It’s easy to miss this while you’re watching the service, so it’s magical to have the photographs to look back and see the bigger picture.
Being baptised is a transformative moment – there aren’t many of these in life that you can actually photograph. It’s a real honour to be invited to document these services.
I used to photograph weddings too, but don’t have capacity anymore. I love that christening photography taps into my wedding photography experience, combined with over a decade of photographing families.
I love that christenings are an important event but with less stress for the parents than with weddings – it’s an event in which families can relax more and really enjoy every moment.

You’ll receive an information gathering form to collate what you’d like from your photographs.
We’ll schedule a time for a quick call to run through the practicalities of the day. It’s really helpful for me to get a sense of what you’re looking for from your photographs, so I can create images for you that you really love.
Most families choose to have both the service and the reception photographed, or you can choose to have just the time at the church documented.
To decide which might be best for you, consider what you’d like to remember from the day: is it primarily the event itself? Would you also like to capture memories of your loved ones celebrating with you at the reception?

The online booking process is quick and simple, and confirms your booking.
You can make your payment by credit / debit card, or by bank transfer – it’s entirely up to you.
I edit the photographs as you see them on my website – I call this light editing. This covers cropping, straightening, colour correction, balancing shots with each other so they’re cohesive in an album, plus subtle skin smoothing and under eye shadow reduction on close ups.
