Natural and relaxed maternity photography in Wimbledon

I love to combine photographs at home with photographs outdoors, walking through your favourite park. Even on a winter’s day like this, it’s still possible to capture beautiful photographs that will bring back memories of life as a couple, just before your little one joins the party!

Winter light is really flattering – it’s soft and gentle, and makes for especially lovely black & white photographs.

The rain burst through during this session, but we just took cover under a tree until it passed – it rarely rains for more than ten minutes or so at a time, so even on a rainy day we can still get outdoor photographs.

Before we went outside, I took some photographs indoors, using the milky winter daylight to capture these tender and special moments.

Outdoors, I looked for picturesque spots for slightly more posed couple portraits – I love how the tree frames the couple, for example. We also walked along until we found a path with lots of foliage – such a pretty backdrop for a natural photograph of this expecting couple as they strolled along.
