Photographing newborn babies in Battersea always reminds me of early days with my own daughter – living in Clapham, we used to often come over for a swim at the Latchmere, or for Monkey Music sessions. It’s only a stone’s throw for me now, as I’m currently living in Balham. A trip to Battersea park is, thank goodness, still an easy journey!
I love coming back here to photograph new additions to families – I love thinking of each newborn growing up here, getting to enjoy such a special part of London.
Having Battersea Park on the doorstep is also brilliant if you book an extended session so we can have outdoor photos too. I love having the mix of the pretty pond as well as the landscaped areas to photograph in.
The photographs are everything I hoped they would be, and more – there are some beautiful photographs. Louise captured us all extremely naturally – I will always treasure these photos of those special early days.”
