Maida Vale must be one of the prettiest parts of London, it’s always a treat visiting to photograph newborns and headshot clients here. I love the mix of the canal and parks, alongside the pretty houses and traditional street lights – they’re so elegant! Having been a full-time photographer for over 14 years now, I’ve photographed quite a few families and businesses in the area.
With longer newborn sessions, we have the option to head outdoors as well as taking photos in your home. Paddington Recreation Ground works well, as does walking down to the canal. If you’ve got the energy (no mean feat with a newborn), we can also venture over to Regent’s Park or to Queen’s Park. I always recommend you choose a park or location where you like to spend time together, as meaningful locations will really help bringing memories rushing back when you look at them in years to come.
Louise was fantastic. It was easy to make an appointment and she was incredibly flexible when our newborn baby arrived late. She was very good with the children, putting them at ease immediately and had a number of tricks up her sleeve to get the photos she wanted. Ordering products afterwards was easy and Louise talked us through all the options available to us. And most importantly, the photos were fantastic.”
