Newborn photographer Surbiton

One of the first families I ever photographed lived in Surbiton, so it’s always a lovely walk down memory lane for me to come back and photograph the new arrivals. I love how quickly the peace and quiet opens up straight off the A3 – and yes, I’m a little envious of the space available in Surbiton homes!

A Surbiton newborn photography session

As I often do with newborn portraits, I took most of the photographs in the parents’ bedroom – making use of the natural light coming in from the window. Their little boy was a total delight to photograph – so adorable! I took a few portraits of his little face, with his eyes wide open and curiously looking around him.

I also took some macro close-up details with my Canon EF 100m f/2.8 L lens, capturing those tiny fingers, swirls of newborn hair and chubby newborn toes.
