“I really recommend Louise. She takes beautiful, natural photographs in your home and outside. She makes your home and family look lovely, but the photos still feel very real. Louise is a warm and reassuring person, and works hard to give you exactly what you’re looking for.” Louisa
In a nutshell
I’m all about making this easy for you. Family life is busy, and I totally get that you need this to be an enjoyable and straightforward process!
I’ll guide you through each step of the process, and make sure you have everything you need – both before your session (with a prep guide, and a pre-session phone call) and after your session (with a next steps guide, and design support with any products you choose to order).
I’ll email you the booking options and a copy of the products guide (with a breakdown for every option), so you can see what will suit your family best.
Once we’ve agreed a date and time that’s convenient for your family, I’ll send you the relevant booking link.
The online booking process is quick and simple, and confirms your booking. You can make your payment by credit / debit card or by bank transfer, it’s entirely up to you.
Pricing / fees
I have a simple pricing structure and no hidden surprises.
Preparing for your session
I’ll send you an information gathering form, to collate your priorities and what you’d like from your photographs. This gives us a great starting point for discussing your session, and how to make the most of it.
You’ll receive a prep guide, including tips and pointers on how to get ready for your session, and what to wear.
We’ll schedule a time for a chat to run through your session, and what to have to hand; with christenings, we’ll run through your plans for the day and discuss any particular issues with the church or venue.
Feel free to ask me any questions you might have.
It’s really helpful for me to get a sense of what you’re looking for from your photographs, so I can create images for you that you really love.
I’ll also send you a set of suggestions for what to wear, and some more detailed pointers.
Your portrait session
I’m a mum myself, and very experienced with helping little ones (and grown ups!) to relax and be themselves.
Family life isn’t perfect, so don’t worry about how the kids will behave!
Newborn sessions and baby sessions are calm and relaxed – there’s no rush, and I’ll work around your baby’s natural rhythm. I’ll photograph quietly as your baby snoozes or snuggles in your arms. There’s plenty of time for nappy changes, feeding and winding – and I’ll take beautiful photographs in the windows in between that will bring back special memories.
With child and family sessions, I’ll spend a bit of time when I arrive getting your children used to me being around, and will always work at their pace – whenever they want a change of scene or a different activity, that’s what we’ll do. There’s no rush, and plenty of time to stop for snacks or some time out.
In maternity portrait sessions, I make sure you both feel comfortable – and promise never to make you feel awkward or silly!
I’ll capture both photographs of you as a couple, and individual portraits of mum-to-be, as well as photographs of your bump itself – it’s absolutely up to you if you’d like to take them with or without clothing over your bump.
With christenings, I'm very discreet and you’ll barely notice being photographed during the service.
I'll always make sure I'm aware of any restrictions the priest or vicar might have on where I stand, or which moments I can photograph.
I'm respectful of the service, and will look to capture the spirit of the day for you.

Your photographs will be lovingly edited. I spend a great deal of care editing each photograph – creating both a colour and B&W version of each image.
The hours spent in post-production result in a series of striking images that will work well together as a series, or that can be printed or framed individually.
“I couldn’t believe how stunning all the photos were and how well Louise managed to capture our daughter’s personality.” Eva
